Prodigal Mod Jason Ferguson Returns to Metaverse
Jason Ferguson is not a reckless spendthrift like the young man in the Prodigal Son parable, but he has returned to Metaverse after an exciting stint as a producer for a social game platform developer.
Jason first joined us in August 2009 as an entry-level moderator for online gaming projects. By that time, he had already earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information system and worked as a moderator for Virtual Magic Kingdom and a community manager for Elf Island. He proceeded to work his way up to onsite community manager for one our social game developer clients, overseeing customer support, social media, moderation and QA services, and then senior project manager, where he led our customer support services for a prominent family entertainment MMO client. His blog post “Darth Vader: The Galaxy’s Worst Community Manager,” was and remains a classic.
In January 2012, Jason left with our blessing to gain valuable experience with an Atlanta-based gamification platform developer. In that role, Jason managed the company’s community and social media, worked on designing and documenting new projects, established and tracked analytics, and coordinated quality assurance.
Today, Jason returns to Metaverse as one of our senior account managers. In this role, he is working closely with our clients and supervising project managers on a number of our gaming and ecommerce accounts. While we certainly missed Jason the last 15 months, as busy and sometimes frenzied as they have been, we could not have been more proud of him and his accomplishments during that time. Of course, we are even more excited to have Jason Ferguson 2.0 rejoin us today.
Welcome back Jason!
