It has been debated if working at an office or from home is the better work environment. Working at Metaverse Mod Squad we can have the best of both worlds. While many of us work from home, there are quite a few of us that go to the office to work.  It takes a lot of trust to run a company where the majority of your staff work remotely from home. I for one love that I am able to work from home. The ability to grab a cup of coffee, juice, or whatever your drink of choice is in the morning, and sit in the peace and quiet of a home office where all distractions can be blocked out is wonderful.

While I enjoy the ability to work from home it is not always the best option as distractions can happen. The phone, doorbell, kids, spouses, and pets can be distracting.  Thankfully for me any distractions I may have are minor so that I spend my time focusing on my job. Having previously worked in an office, I can honestly say that I prefer working from home.  I found myself constantly getting distracted by coworkers who would interrupt me while I was working, which would delay me in getting my work done for the day.

Not everyone is suited for working from home, and the same goes for working from an office. Some people do their best work from the office, I know I am not one of them. There are others who get the best of both worlds and get to split their time between the office and home. Everyone has a different work style which adds to where they work best.

I have worked for Metaverse for a little over 3.5 years and have spent almost every work hour from home. I will admit, much to my husbands displeasure, I took my laptop with me on a few vacations and fit in a few hours of work. I love my job and the freedom I feel from having been able to create a schedule that works for me. I couldn’t ask for a better job.
