Case Study: ModSquad Helps Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Perform Wonders

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is dedicated to making sure children’s hospitals have the funding they need. This nonprofit organization raises money and awareness across the U.S. and Canada. Since 1983, CMN Hospitals has raised $7 billion (much of it $1 at a time). Those donations mean that each year 10 million kids and their families get the care they need.

When real-world fundraising was curtailed, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals had to pivot many of its events to virtual models. With CMN Hospitals needing help with moderation, we knew we had to help. We’d been supporters of this amazing non-profit for years, and jumped in to provide moderation services for their 24-hour fundraising/gaming event, Extra Life.

The hard work and expertise paid off. CMN Hospitals’ pivot was a success. Since then we’ve expanded our moderation services to include live stream content moderation and engagement moderation across CMN Hospitals’ social media channels. The Mods are also branching out to help the organization in more of their member communities and with partner initiatives.

In this new case study, find out how ModSquad:

  • Helped CMN Hospitals scale dramatically, covering a 154% year-over-year increase in social messages
  • Helped increase the level of engagement around Extra Life by replying to 254% more messages than in the previous year, resulting in a 74% increase in messages that followers “liked”
  • Connected with all of CMN Hospitals’ communities on multiple platforms
  • Improved customer support by fielding support related questions on social media

“I think the numbers speak for themselves in terms of how ModSquad is helping us,” says Julie Blair, CMN Hospitals’ Senior Director, Community Experience. “We knew the Mods were having a huge impact, but seeing the metrics is powerful.”

For ModSquad, this engagement is about more than impressive numbers. It’s about helping CMN Hospitals build a foundation on which to fulfill their mission. Their success means children’s hospitals can continue to change kids’ health to change the future. “We’ve been doing this for over 15 years and we’ve worked on a lot of projects,” says Amy Pritchard, ModSquad’s CEO. “But I can say without question that Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is the dearest to ModSquad’s heart.”

“ModSquad has such a talented group of Mods that really know our community and how to speak to them,” notes Blair. “ModSquad helps us raise the bar.”
