Boost Facebook Likes With Existing Email Contacts

By Jennifer Lowe and J.Lowe

Brands are always looking for ways to boost their Likes on their Facebook pages.  We love using Facebook ads, but those can get pricey.  A simple trick for brands that already have an email list is to import their contacts and let Facebook recommend their page to a brand’s existing network.

This is a great way to launch a new page or bring new life to current ones.  For businesses that get new customers or memberships on a regular basis, this is an easy routine they can start doing weekly.

1.    Go to your Facebook Page and click “Edit Page” in the top right-hand corner.

2.    In the left-hand column, click “Marketing.” Next, click “Tell your Fans.”

3.    Once you click on “Tell your fans,” you will see 2 options for emailing your contacts. You can upload a contact file or you can search your web email contacts.

4.    If you wish to upload a contact file, click on “How to create a contact file…” to view a list of services through which you can export your email contacts.

5.    Once you have uploaded a contact file, you can select which contacts to send the invite to.

6.    Click “Preview Invitation” to see what the invite will look like. Contacts who are already on Facebook will see a “Recommended Pages” suggestion in the sidebar of their homepage. Contacts who are not already on Facebook will receive an email invitation. Check the checkbox to indicate that you have consent to email these contacts and click “Send.”
