New case study: Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

FINDING THE PERFECT GIFT, EVERY TIME

If you’re anything like me, I enjoy giving rather than receiving. I’m the ABSOLUTE worst person to give gifts to. I usually find out what my gift is BEFORE it gets to the wrapping stage.

Browsing in the darkJust this past week, I was browsing through my husband’s email (I was not snooping, mind you, he has a side business and I usually keep an eye out for client emails on his behalf), and saw an email entitled Your order has been received.  I was in between a rock and a hard place. Should I or shouldn’t I? It was midnight, my husband was sleeping and I was ALL alone. My first thought was, ”open the email quick.”  After all, maybe it’s not for me, right?  My second thought was, “Ignore the email and sign out.”  And yet, before I could make a decision, my hand reached over to the mouse.  The next thing I heard was click. And finally, my third thought was, “…Oh no!!! Now I’ve done it!”

Well, the email was open, and to be honest – glaring at me with its brightness – so I read it. After seeing what he bought me, I felt so guilty!  How could I live with myself another moment?  I had to tell him, clearly.  And so, I woke him up and came clean.  His response? “Well, at least I don’t have to wrap it now!”

Even though I have proven to my loved ones that I am a horrible gift recipient, it does not take away from the awesome gift giver that I am.  And as awesome gift giver, I spend countless hours searching the web, going from website to website, trying to find the gift to trump all gifts: the perfect gift. This year, I discovered a website that is a one-stop shop for anything and everything I could imagine.

Gifts.com_LogoLet me introduce you to our client, Gifts.com!  Each month they comb through tens of thousands of gifts to find the best items to showcase on their site. You can search by occasion, gender, age, etc. My favorite is searching by personality. Don’t have time to browse? They list the top 10 instant gifts. This is what’s on the list as of now:

  • $50 Emailable Amazon Gift Card
  • $50 Fandango Digital Gift Card
  • Race a Ferrari Experience (Nationally Available)
  • BustedTees Emailable Gift Card $25
  • Three Month Netflix Subscription
  • $100 AmazingClubs.com Gourmet Gift Certificate (by email)
  • You Bar Gift Certificate Cloud 9 Living Gift Certificate
  • Film Movement Film of the Month Club 6 Month Subscription
  • BustedTees Emailable Gift Card $100

Discovering this site has not only made my life easier, but has reduced the number hours I spend trying to find that perfect gift.

So what are you waiting for? Christmas is just around the corner (seriously – we’re just days away here, folks).  I’ve already purchased the Race a Ferrari Experience for my husband. Shhh…. don’t tell him.

Happy Holidays!  And best of luck with any last minute prep you have on your list!
