One of the most popular features on the Mod Blog are our profiles of the people who make up ModSquad. From Mods to managers, everyone has the chance to shine, both at ModSquad and here on the blog. So today we’re delighted to sing the praises of one of our amazing Account Managers, Melody Schaefer!

Melody has been with us for two years, and we’re eager to share her story. One thing we just had to ask about was her lovely, musical name. Melody noted that her name is a bit of a contradiction, as her skills on the computer keyboard outpace her talent behind the microphone! Even so, we passed Melody the mic for this sit-down interview, which offers a look at her journey to ModSquad and her life as an Account Manager. 

What brought you to ModSquad?

I’ve been in the customer service industry for over a decade, valuable experience that has provided me with a wide range of skills. Early in my career, I had the opportunity to help create and launch ZeniMax Online Studios’ global call center. During that time I forged many great relationships and found my passion for contact center operations.

Fortunately, due to the bonds I built, a former coworker reached out to let me know about an opportunity at ModSquad, which I’m so thankful for! I applied for the position and got it. I love the culture and environment here. It allows me to balance my career and my family.

What does your role entail on a daily basis?

I’m responsible for all of the factors that bring about a project’s success. This includes developing and maintaining great relationships with our clients, managing expectations, and supporting the amazing Mods who make it all possible.

Can you talk a bit about a rewarding experience you’ve had at ModSquad? 

I’ve been fortunate in the fact that I’ve had many rewarding experiences here at ModSquad. Most recently, I joined our Shared Services group as an Account Manager. I’m so proud to be a part of this incredibly hard working and passionate group. They drive me to continue pushing myself professionally and working to maintain a culture that supports their growth.

In your opinion, what sets ModSquad apart?

Our people. Since joining ModSquad, I’ve found everyone here to be passionate; everyone takes great pride in their work. Our expansive network of Mods and managers allows us to meet a vast variety of client needs and to scale as their businesses grow. 

Tell us a bit about yourself. What do you do when you’re not working?

I’ve moved around a lot in my life, which comes with the territory when you’re a military kid. Now I reside in Maryland and have the pleasure of raising three boys, all under the age of five. So my days are spent supporting the Mods and enjoying life with my children. To relax after a busy day, I like to either watch a movie with my kids or play The Sims. I love the Marvel movies, and can nearly recite the entire Hunger Games trilogy!
